Software Engineer

Cocoon is bringing simplicity to the complex world of employee leave. Today, going on leave means talking to reps and wading through government and insurance claims. We fix that.

What will you do:
• Work up and down the full stack
• Talk to customers, figure out what the product should be
• Work on design, sales, legal, partnerships, and other areas adjacent to engineering
• Build the company with us: operating values, team building, scaling decisions

Tech Stack: TypeScript, React and Next.js (client), GraphQL API, Node.js + Express (server), Postgres, AWS.

You'd be a great fit if you:
• Are an experienced engineer who has led large-scope projects
• Previously worked in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Obsess over details — user-facing flow and code abstraction
• Know when to move fast vs. slow down to build robustly
• Are intellectually curious
• Care deeply about building the right product and company culture

Salary: $170,000 + equity. Benefits: medical/dental/vision, unlimited PTO, 14 weeks parental leave, office setup stipend.
