About the Role:
You'll be Engineer #5, a core builder of an AI-powered CFO platform designed to solve operational finance for founders. The platform replaces manual spreadsheets and lagging accounting data with real-time visibility, intelligent bookkeeping, and proactive financial controlling.

What you'll do:

Core System Flow:
- Data Ingestion & Normalization: Plug into bank feeds (Plaid), accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero), and payment processors (Stripe/Shopify)
- AI-Powered Categorization: Deploy agents to analyze, classify, and map transaction data
- Conversational Intelligence: Enable founders to query financial data using natural language (LLM-driven intent detection)
- Real-Time Projections: Calculate cash burn, runway, and margin analysis using live data streams
- Automated AR/AP Engine: Build proactive monitoring systems that trigger automated reminders and payment workflows

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable backend services using TypeScript and Node.js
- Deeply integrate with Stripe, Shopify, QuickBooks, Xero, and banking APIs
- Build AI workflows using agentic frameworks (Google Agent SDK, Vercel AI SDK)
- Develop algorithms for cash flow forecasting, margin analysis, and profitability mapping
- Full-stack ownership across frontend and specialized backend microservices

Requirements:
- 5+ years as a Full-stack or Backend-heavy Engineer
- Experience with end-to-end SaaS, AI, fintech platforms
- AI-First Mindset
- Fast shipper who thrives on seeing code in production quickly

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 USD
