Engineering Team Leader

The Position: A Team Leader is responsible for all the work of a team and is the spokesperson for everyone in it. Expected to manage team dynamics and bring the best in everyone. Not expected to be the best in the team, but help others become the best version.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend)
• 30% of time on management work, rest actively participating in product development
• Involved in hiring processes for the team
• Responsible for onboarding process of new engineers
• Manage team dynamics and bring out the best in direct reports
• Give continuous and constructive feedback
• Provide guidance and coaching to the team

Requirements:
• Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people
• Extensive experience with Backend (Elixir/Phoenix)
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices
• Ambitious about diversity, equality and inclusion

Salary: $75,450–$169,700 USD. Benefits: flexible PTO, 16 weeks parental leave, stock options, learning budget.
