Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Red Cell Partners is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and administer cloud environments with a strong emphasis on virtualization, automation, and security. Red Cell Partners is an incubation firm building and investing in rapidly scalable technology-led companies in healthcare, cyber, and national security. This role owns the full lifecycle of cloud infrastructure from virtual machine provisioning and network architecture to Infrastructure as Code deployments and continuous monitoring. Key responsibilities include administering and maintaining AWS and Azure environments including day-to-day operations of virtual machines, networking, and storage; managing VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, and NACLs; deploying and maintaining EC2 instances, RDS, S3, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and CloudTrail; designing and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform including modular design and remote state management; administering virtualized workloads including sizing, patching, and lifecycle management; supporting container-based workloads in ECS and EKS; integrating infrastructure provisioning and security controls into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI; and supporting compliance efforts aligned with frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, HIPAA, SOC 2, and FedRAMP. Requirements include 5 or more years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering, 3 or more years of hands-on experience managing AWS and/or Azure environments, and strong Terraform experience including modular design and state management.
