Platform Tech Lead

Yellow Card is the largest and first licensed on/off-ramp platform for stablecoins in Africa, now expanding globally as a premier B2B financial technology provider. As the Platform Tech Lead, you will serve as the technical anchor for the Platform Engineering team, leading critical production implementations and taking full ownership of the technical roadmap to ensure services maintain 99.99 percent availability for institutional partners and global financial networks. Responsibilities include acting as the final technical reviewer for complex setups including global traffic routing, EKS scaling, and networking setups such as VPNs and certificate rotation for mTLS; architecting robust solutions for strict adherence to uptime OKRs; identifying root causes for critical production incidents; leading service capacity planning, demand forecasting, and system tuning; establishing end-to-end monitoring and alerting on all critical systems; aligning technical priorities with business goals; and partnering with SecOps to ensure global infrastructure meets rigorous security standards. Requirements include 7 or more years of hands-on technical experience with large-scale production environments, 2 or more years leading SREs or software developers, in-depth knowledge of AWS architecture including Serverless, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EKS, and S3, strong grasp of Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD principles, and experience with GitHub Actions.
