Senior Backend Developer (100% remote Worldwide)

Tether is pioneering a global financial revolution. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work on development and maintenance of backend components of multiple services related to the platform, including new products/features, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities: Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, practical architectures; improve existing core backend services written in NodeJS; implement new solutions that interact with different core services through RPC calls; write complex database queries for compliance and financial purposes.

Required: At least 5 years of experience working with JavaScript/Node.js. Familiar with microservices architecture. Active participation in development of a complex platform. Good experience interacting with databases (MySQL, MongoDB). Ability to quickly learn new technologies. Good understanding of security practices.

Preferred: Experience with blockchain integration. Comfortable with high-availability concepts. Ruby and Rails experience. Message queues (Redis), caches and job queues.
