Senior Cloud Engineer

DV Trading is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, buildout, and operation of firm-wide cloud infrastructure supporting all trading desks and research platforms. Founded 20 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, DV Trading is an independent proprietary trading firm providing liquidity to worldwide financial markets. This role owns core shared cloud capabilities across the firm while also providing specialized infrastructure support to the crypto desk. Key responsibilities include owning the architecture and operation of cloud infrastructure supporting latency-sensitive trading systems, designing VPC and network topologies with explicit routing, isolation, and traffic control, partnering with the network team to build a robust and latency-optimized global network including Direct Connect to DV office locations and hybrid connectivity across cloud providers. The role also involves defining compute placement strategies, building shared platform capabilities, owning FinOps visibility and cost optimization frameworks, serving as the primary escalation point for cloud infrastructure incidents, and mentoring engineers. Requirements include 5 or more years of experience, extensive hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, deep expertise in cloud networking, and extensive Terraform experience at scale.
