Senior Data Engineer

Mozilla Corporation is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering team, which manages the entire data lifecycle from ingesting and transforming raw data into reliable, high quality models that empower Mozillians to make data-informed decisions. Mozilla is the non-profit-backed technology company behind Firefox, with more than 225 million people using their products monthly. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build and manage business data pipelines, transform Firefox telemetry data into structured high-quality datasets, partner with data scientists, product, and marketing teams to turn complex datasets into metrics that drive decisions, ensure datasets stay accurate and performant using observability tools, evolve the data platform in partnership with other data engineers, and maintain data governance and privacy policies across tens of terabytes of data flowing through systems daily. Requirements include at minimum 4 years of professional data engineering experience, proficiency in SQL and Python, experience with data modeling mapping complex business processes into analytical data models, strong software engineering fundamentals, and experience with cloud distributed systems including GCP, distributed databases, message queues, and batch or stream processing.
