Senior Software Engineer

Mozilla Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Firefox Monitor Engineering Team, which builds tools that help people understand and respond to data breaches. Mozilla is a non-profit-backed technology company with more than 225 million people using their products monthly. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to a modern cloud-native Node.js and TypeScript full-stack application spanning feature development, infrastructure ownership, and application support. Responsibilities include leading backend development in Node.js and TypeScript within a Next.js full-stack architecture, designing and maintaining integrations with external data sources such as Have I Been Pwned with a focus on data privacy and security, building and maintaining event-driven systems using Google Cloud Pub/Sub and owning cloud infrastructure on GCP including GKE and AWS including S3 and SES, owning and evolving the data layer including PostgreSQL schema design using Knex and Redis caching strategies, working with the SRE team to maintain production environments with monitoring using OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana, triaging and resolving production issues, and participating in code reviews and security reviews. Requirements include 7 or more years of software development experience, deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, proficiency with PostgreSQL, experience deploying applications on Kubernetes, and experience with GCP and AWS.
