Engineering Manager, Business Operations

Misfits Market is a mission-driven, high-growth startup dedicated to reducing food waste and making shopping for sustainable, high-quality groceries easier and more affordable. We deliver organic produce and other grocery items to nearly every zip code in 48 states at up to 30 percent off traditional grocery store prices.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Business Operations team. This team builds and maintains the systems that power the operational backbone of Misfits Market, including warehouse management, payments, ERP integrations, and third-party lines of business.

You will: lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for operational systems and third-party integrations; partner closely with operations, finance, supply chain, and external partners to define priorities; drive execution across complex initiatives involving internal systems, vendor platforms, and real-time operational workflows; ensure high standards for code quality, testing, and operational readiness; manage technical risk across integrations, data pipelines, and vendor dependencies; provide coaching, feedback, and career development support to engineers.

Required: 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend or distributed platform experience. 4+ years of engineering management experience. Experience with operational systems: warehouse management, payments, ERP, supply chain. Strong prioritization skills. Experience leading teams responsible for business-critical systems.

Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 USD. Benefits: Unlimited PTO, Monthly Stipend, health/dental/vision, Life Insurance, 401k.
