Senior Software Engineer - New Markets

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and services that form Alpaca's foundation. You will design highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems, develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems including gRPC microservices, a React-based UI, and third-party vendor integrations. You will work closely with Alpaca's core teams to enhance and transform the core framework enabling support for multiple languages, currencies, and markets.

Must-haves: Proven experience in financial services, specifically online trading platforms or fintech. Experience with double-entry accounting, trade lifecycle management, settlement processes. Strong experience with Go or similar backend languages. Experience with financial APIs, market data integrations, domain-driven design, and event-driven design. Ability to act as incident commander and lead cross-functional teams.
