Systems Engineer I

Verisma is seeking a Systems Engineer I to work as a member of the Cloud Infrastructure team within Technical Operations. This role is responsible for keeping existing infrastructure stable while helping to create automated monitoring systems and administration tools. Duties and responsibilities include providing daily IT Operations Support, maintaining existing network infrastructure and supporting data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical systems and data, installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers with patch and update management, providing working knowledge of server support for physical and virtual servers across Windows and Linux operating systems, automating server and service provisioning and other operational tasks, creating and maintaining comprehensive system documentation including server configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures, sharing knowledge and collaborating with team members to enhance overall system administration capabilities, responding to system-related incidents and service requests with timely resolutions, participating in on-call rotation to address urgent issues outside regular business hours, and writing and maintaining custom scripts to increase system efficiency. Minimum qualifications include a two-year degree or relevant experience, one to two years of experience in system infrastructure, proficiency in Windows Servers, Active Directory, cloud management, monitoring, and PowerShell scripting, and knowledge of systems, networking software and hardware, and networking protocols. Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
